The biggest OB of the year was always Bathurst. 

1960's

Bathurst

The Bathurst OB left Epping studios in convoy - with many stops until the final destination. From memory, I think there were a couple of drop-off locations for links along the way.

Who knew: 
Forrest's Elbow was named after Jack Forrest, a motorcycle racer who smashed his elbow in a crash on that corner, back in 1947.
